Content… an example of niche content receiving mass market exposure.

Here’s a great example from Jason Pereira, an advisor with Toronto-based Woodgate Financial Partners/IPC.
Last month, Jason was picked up by Advisor (Advisor.ca) for an article on Tax Efficient Investing using Corporate Class Funds. Advisor’s target is financial advisors across Canada. (Sorry there is no online version of the article yet). The article was just released to Advisor’s subscriber base.
Fast forward to this week, main stream media author Gordon Powers, of Sympatico.msn.ca has released a re-drafted version article with a more consumer friendly angle and utilized Jason’s expert knowledge with several quotes to reinforce the message. Here is the link directly to Gordon’s article.
Jason’s experience here brings an opportunity to notice how important ‘being an expert’ has become – digging into niches, being the go-to person. I will be spending sometime shortly on this topic – we can explore DIGG, BUZZ, Stumbleupon together. In the meantime, please take this opportunity to sign up for my Google Subscribe Links – where you will have the best of Google search with occasional links adding by myself.

It’s strange that after having being swamped with a plethora of IM and Niche Marketing Gurus I came to read this post which at least refreshed my brain a little and gave me a hint of an adrenalin rush which is giving me a most healthy disposition. I am going right now to Gordon’s article and I always trust Canadian Marketer’s Instincts.

In terms of blogging it is certainly best to focus in on a niche otherwise a blog descends into a collection of unrelated nonsense that is off putting for potential readers. When you choose a niche it is further important that you have a good working knowledge because those that are aware will spot a fake in a heartbeat.

It’s a nice post. I also need a niche content that will receive mass market exposure.

People are looking for experts in many fields as the world becomes more complex. Finding a niche you enjoy–especially if it’s one in which you can become an expert–will help you become popular online.
