The Video Games Industry is a very exciting field to plan a future career in!  The Industry is constantly growing, it remains very profitable and more importantly, with the recent economical events experienced throughout the world – the industry does not seem to be slowing down (people will always need entertainment).  My name is Tom Maduri and as CEO of  “Throwback Entertainment”, it is very important to our future to nurture and develop new, up and coming, talented games development staff.

I intend to host a series of articles written about getting your feet wet in this highly technologically and content driven Video Games Industry. I intend to do that along with one of my associates, David Siller, and we will both discuss many of the aspects necessary to consider and plan ahead for, if you are indeed serious about making video games your life’s work. Getting started in not a complicated process, but like developing video games itself, it takes vision, focus, great work effort and a correct methodology to become productive. Like the saying “Success is where preparation meets opportunity”, it is important to do all of the right steps in order to become successful!

With respect to managing any career, it is important to prepare ahead of time if at all possible. Doing what you love is the greatest reward of all and the best chance to step forward and make a cultural impact on so many peoples’ lives! Follow, read and comprehend these subsequent tutorial articles on getting into Video Games Industry very carefully and decide for yourself if this indeed is your cup of tea! It’s not all fun and games, as it requires just as much work as most any job, however, the personal rewards are great and the self-satisfaction you experience is incredible. There are no guarantees that these tutorials will work for everyone, as it also takes individual initiative as an ingredient for success, but it won’t hurt your chances either!

Remember “Desire must overcome mediocrity and effort must exceed desire”. Be prepared to work hard and work smart in order to accomplish any lofty goals.
